About Our Classes And Policies

We are proud to offer an extensive array of classes and workshops in our retail shop.  Regular curriculum includes our hands-on Beginner and Intermediate herbalist courses The Heart of Herbal Medicine, The Heart of Herbal Medicine: Going Deeper, and our new Materia Medica 5-week Intensive, which we offer twice a year.  We also host many popular classes taught by adjunct teachers from the community, including classes in Reiki, Tarot, Astrology, Ancestor Work, Fermentation, Homesteading Skills, and much more.

Virtual Classes ~ We sometimes offer online classes, held live on Zoom, and class series participants are invited to join a Google Classroom wherein students and teachers interact throughout the week.  Our hands-on herbal classes continue to include live demonstrations of herbal product making, and students are equipped with all supplies to prepare the medicines in the comfort of their own homes.

Class Cancellation Policy

We strongly encourage you to register at least two weeks in advance for our in-person and online workshops.  Since many of our classes are hands-on with all supplies included, our staff and teachers require a headcount in order to properly prepare for the class.  Additionally, we have found that committing to a class ahead of time helps students to take the learning process seriously.  When we run a cumulative class series, many of our students report that the commitment provides stability in their week, and we have seen many friendships and communities grow through the culture of our regulars!

 

We realize that students may not want to pay for a class in advance when there is always a small chance that plans will change.  For this reason we offer a full refund to students who give us at least 24 hours notice of cancellation before the scheduled class. 

Occasionally a student may need to cancel the day-of the class due to reasons of sickness or emergency.  If you need to cancel your pre-paid registration on the day of the class, we can transfer your payment to a store credit or towards another workshop.   

We do not offer refunds or transfers past the date of the class.
